Basildon, Colchester & Harlow Healthcare Libraries

are multidisciplinary libraries which support all NHS and Social Care staff including Students on placement based in Essex, in their everyday working practice. The Library provides electronic resources, details of which are available on this website. We support a wide range of activities, from evidence-based practice to professional development to research.

Basildon Healthcare Library is working with the libraries at Princess Alexandra Hospital at Harlow and Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust on a pilot project, to merge library services across Trusts. The purpose of this is to develop a consistent, high quality library service to all the Trusts, improving standards, streamlining current processes and introducing new services such as a Clinical Librarian Service across all three sites.
